If you ever find yourself purchasing a historic building, keep in mind that at one point or another some renovations will have to be done to bring it up to date. We’ve had quite the journey here at The Downtown Duval Building. When we moved in back in May last year the building was very outdated and did need somewhat of a facelift, but diving into these projects one by one we ended up adding more to our list of renovations than we initially expected. In no particular order, we have redone the deck, the roof, the bathrooms, all the flooring (except our suites), we’ve knocked out a couple walls, and redecorated with new furniture for a more modern feel. The images below are just a few to show the changes we have made to the building. The first few are what it looked like when we moved in, then construction, and the final product.
